“IDEX’s mission is to create the next wave of social entrepreneurs” says Bhavna

Journey so far

IDEX believes that by creating a pipeline of experienced social intrapreneurs, it would be able to contribute in filling the human capital gap in social enterprises and help them reach their goals in a faster and more efficient way. IDEX partners with organisations from across the social impact space including those working at the bottom of the pyramid on issues related to education, healthcare, energy, environment, gender etc.

IDEX was able to reach out to fellows from over 35 countries and an ever-expanding partner base. Bhavna says about the achievement made so far, “We have worked more than 300 weeks spent with fellows working on ground with social enterprise partners on capacity building, community development, outreach, impact assessment, social innovation, market development etc. We conduct many events where we help organisations mobilise both financial and non financial resources for their enterprise such as raising a few months grocery supply for ‘Asha Niketan’, donating physical labour to ‘The Ugly Indians’ and ‘Organic Mandya’, helping organisations such as FairtradeIndia and SELCO design a social media campaign and outreach toolkit respectively.”

IDEX has been recently been featured in the Ashokau as one of the 14 best social innovation fellowships.
